01 / Ownership

The part I owned

As technical co-founder, I designed and built the product end to end: signed WhatsApp webhook and media flows, OpenAI typed extraction, subscriber-scoped context retrieval, domain policy, the PostgreSQL ledger, Supabase Edge deployment, reports, and the private admin portal.

02 / Engineering decisions

What made the system hold together.

01

Retrieve context; keep authority local

Subscriber-scoped contacts and preferences ground a strict typed extraction request, but the model never writes money. Local code validates and reconciles every command before deterministic execution.

02

Design retries into the core

Meta message IDs form an idempotency gate, ledger batches are atomic, and every mutation carries an audit trail and a deterministic reversal path.

03

Treat voice as a bounded input

Media metadata, size, duration, authorization, and transcription are separately constrained before a message can reach command extraction.

03 / Outcome

What exists now

The working MVP supports ILS, USD, and JOD; text and voice input; contact-aware debt tracking; deterministic confirmation and undo; PDF and spreadsheet reports; subscriber controls; and deployment across Supabase Edge Functions and Netlify.
